The National Development and Reform Commission, China's top economic planner, today raised gasoline and diesel fuel prices by RMB 480 per metric ton, according to a statement released by the commission yesterday.
The benchmark price of gasoline is now RMB 7,100 per metric ton and the price of diesel fuel is now RMB 6,360 per metric ton.
The retail price of gasoline has been increased by RMB 0.36 per liter, while that of diesel fuel has been increased by RMB 0.41 per liter, according to the statement.
The NDRC said in the statement that the oil price adjustment was made in response to recent changes in the international price of crude oil, which climbed more than 4% to around US$80 per barrel over the last 22 trading days.
This is the ninth adjustment since the nation adopted a new fuel pricing mechanism, which came into effect on Jan. 1 and links domestic oil prices to international oil prices in a controlled manner.
The previous price adjustment took place on Sep. 30, when the commission lowered gasoline and diesel fuel prices by RMB 190 per metric ton, according to an earlier report from China Knowledge.

I noticed that search in Excite is powered by Yahoo, I couldn t confirm this, but I would suspect the same is true in Japan, one with the remaining popularity of Excite in Japan, and Yahoo controlling 80% of the search market, it is a pretty safe assumption.
Not to mention Yahoo powering Excites searches in the states. Anyway, Japan is ripe and ready for SEO service
